Healthcare access
The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) provides cashless outpatient care and referral to empanelled hospitals for Ex-Servicemen, war widows and their dependants, through a nationwide network of polyclinics organised under Regional Centres and Station HQs.
ECHS operates through Regional Centres, each overseeing a group of local polyclinics. A polyclinic is your first point of contact for outpatient consultation, medicines and referral; the Regional Centre handles administration, membership and escalations.
